I see that there may have been some mis-understanding regarding this whole thing.
So this is what is going to happen
The whole voting thing is cancelled and i will be accepting re- submissions over the weekend.
The rules of the sg costume are as follows
- a common costume or at least a common theme so that you can tell that they are both from the Handies
-Submit in the colours that you would like the costume to be in – if this is different for vills and heroes then send me a picture of the costume in both colours
-Able to be adopted for all toon types – male, female and huge – if there are subtle differences then again post me a piccie of the male, female, huge in the 2 different colours if needs be
- Make the costume flexible enough so that back detail, head and belt can be customised – all other components i believe should be the same for us all.
Remeber this is a costume that the sg’s will wear when a number of us are all grouped together in a public place (outside mishes, bm/ww, fighting gm’s and so on) and should therefore draw attention in a good way to show our presence and unity.
Ok please let me know if you are happy for your costumes to now be resubmitted, if not then you have until the end of the weekend to get me any further costumes.
The voting will take place from Monday until the close of play on Wednesday.

I would suggest – just as an idea – that all costumes are done in the three body types, that way we know which would best fit our chars.
I know I’ll be breaking out the cossie designer again tonight.
Oh and i will not be putting any piccies up at all until wednesday night when i will create a post of them all
so just let me know if you are happy for them to be resubmitted or send me another mail with the submissions on if i hear nothing i will assume that you do not want any previous entries to be included.

Ok, well I guess Ile be back to the costume designer too! Would just be good if we could settle on a basic colour scheme so that “ooo i like purple” doesnt sway the vote (though I think i too will be making a purple and yellow looking cozzie).

Erm…I’m happy for them to be entered as two entries i prefer the purple one to be fair but the black one looks gothic and “dirty”.
I am sure for those that have had diff with their comp i can add an extra one so if there are any last minute entries please get them to me today

Wow some of those are much better than the dross we got last week! 1, 2 and 3 are the best.
3 – because its suitable for both sides and is a nice look. Very reptilian
2 – cos we got some sweet inverted colours
1 – is a nice sleek simple cossie – love it. Maybe we could use black and yellow for villains? Hurm.
I dont really like the lady spikes but I’m gonna go 2.
Like 1, 2 & 3 myself – But as its one costume for both CoH & CoV I think 1 or 2. Go with 1 for my vote!
3 looks a really good villain cosy only though!
I think that what’s happened is that we’ve looked at what people liked, disliked, thought about it and had another go (except those lazy people who kept last weeks designs!). Quick notes:
1 – Nice, colours are very Paragon Protector-y, but colours can be changed. Not sure about the circle around the Hand emblem.
2 – Simple and elegant, might be a bit too simple with the other contenders tho. Nice colours tho.
3 – Nice mix of armour/jackets, jacket seem to be more suited to males – the female jacket is a bit short! Colours might need tweaking – maybe a bit too green?
4 – Another simple design, with nice colours. Love the colours, but think cossie is a bit too simple.
5 – The colours blind! The colours blind!! Nice shoulder pads tho.
6 – S&M Convention material! Not quite heroic, and very dark.
7 – One of the more colourful entries of last week. Still think it might be a bit much for costume.
8 – Another of last weeks, simple effective, but drowned out by the new entries.
I agree the first three are the best. 3 because I like jackets.
Just a comment, but I think dictating the costume past a colour and a pattern is a mistake. Different backgrounds lead to different styles of costumes and effects. The magic tossing Ninja Mastermind is not going to look anything like the technology based Robot Mastermind.
Defining a colourset and a pattern, and possibly a cape (or wings or whatever is appropriate based on the character) should be more than sufficient.
Speaking as a technology based Fire/Therm Corruptor, my armour is where my powers come from. Put me in spandex and there isn’t really much I can do.
My three cents.
Nothing is going to be compusory, I think the idea is that if we are meeting up for an SG event we can all gather together in our costumes and be extremely visible and therefore, raising the profile of the SG.
Everyone can have more than 1 costume slot, and I for one will be changing into my usual costume once I get inside a mission.
You should try the bio-neural technology that replicate armour based tech capabilities. It’s designed to be fitted between two microlayers of spandex for comfort and flexibility and is much easier than carrying around a suitcase with your armour in it.

Simple is good, not too cluttered and you can still see what’s ging on with the body movements.
It’s like with anything drawn, if it’s too “busy” it’s hard work to look at. If there’s a group of handies stood round the BM for example, and the cossie was too detailed there’d be a mess off colours stood in a group.
My two cents.
P.S I like number three, needs summat to balance out the jacket mebbe. Motorcycle boots?

I think number 3 is my fave, exoproto top and stealth bottom looks good, and even the colour aint so bad, though not sure about the green. Do agree with Rotagar though, the boots could use a tweak to something to suit the jacket, and can we use trenchcoats for this too?
